I've attached the latest update on our 2007 Annual General Meeting next October as it appears on the international website, www.donnachaidhinternational.com , and ask that you give it coverage in your upcoming newsletters. The cruise on Loch Ness and the opportunity to meet Gordon MacGregor, whose research has caused a rewriting of Clan Donnachaidh history, should tempt more than a few to be with us in Scotland this year.
On another note, two branches have added information pages to their listings in the "Clan Branches" section of the international website. To view what the Florida and Perth, Australia Branches have included, open the Clan Branches section of the international site, go to each of the above branches, then click on the green link. To add your branch information, email your pictures and info to us at webmaster@donnachaidhinternational.com , ideally with contact information for at least one of your officers, a listing of the states your branch includes, a brief description of your regular activities and a picture or two. The potential for new members as a result of this information can't be overstated...our international website has had 25,409 visitors since the 1st of January, 2007, and logic suggests that some of these should be new members for our Society and your branch.
Finally, we ask each branch to emphasize the Youth Membership program, which welcomes children as Honorary Youth Members until their 21st birthday. Information on recommending a child for membership is available on the international website's Youth Memberhip page. Each child will receive the beautiful 1892 Clan Donnachaidh Membership certificate, suitable for framing. We now have 274 Youth Members worldwide and, to show what can be done, more than 90 of these have been submitted by our Florida branch. The Itinerary can be downloaded here
